What is physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a health profession. It is used for evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation in cases of deficiency and incapacity.

Who needs physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is for people with functional limitations following injuries or illnesses that affect muscles, joints and bones, as well as the neurological systems (brain, nerves, spinal marrow), the respiratory system (lungs), and the cardiovascular (blood vessels) and cardiac (heart) systems.

How can physiotherapy help you?

Physiotherapy can help you recover the maximum of your physical capacities depending on your own recovery potential. To achieve this, a variety of treatments are used, such as manual techniques, exercises, electrotherapy and thermotherapy (ice or heat).

Such interventions help to acquire the physical capabilities required for social integration, daily activities and involvement in work, a pastime or a sport.
